Balancing Your Swing’s Lateral and Rotational Motions
Sooooo many golfers worry about getting onto their lead, or in my case, the left side. Lately, I’ve had students with too much lateral motion and not enough rotation. Their reaction from that lateral move is usually over-active hands (flip) to soften the rightward miss tendency.
Pelvis relocation certainly helps with low point management. You can see in this exaggeration video that I can manage low point control with very little lateral movement. Most of that is because of sound wrist conditions.
Of course, the best players have an appropriate amount of lateral and rotational motions.
